How I can help

The right ecommerce foundation—and practical help as the store changes.

The work is shaped around where the business is now: starting from scratch, moving away from a platform that no longer fits, or improving a live store that has become difficult to shop or manage.

01

Set up a Shopify store

Plan and configure the essentials: store structure, products, collections, payments, shipping and launch preparation using an appropriate existing Shopify theme.

02

Move an existing store

Plan a move from platforms such as Wix, Squarespace or WooCommerce, with catalogue, content, redirects, customer data and launch risks considered before work begins.

03

Improve a live store

Make the store easier to shop and run through clearer navigation, better collections, stronger product presentation, promotions and practical merchandising.

Ecommerce after the launch

A store is an operating system for the business, not just a set of web pages.

I have spent more than 15 years working in ecommerce in Ireland. That experience is rooted in the decisions behind day-to-day trading: catalogue structure, product information, navigation, promotions, busy trading periods, payments, shipping and the work required to keep a store accurate.

That changes how a project is approached. The goal is not to add features for the sake of them. It is to create a store that customers can understand and that the business can realistically maintain.

Design matters. What happens when products, orders and customers arrive matters more.

Practical ecommerce problems, handled in the context of the whole store.

01

Customers cannot find products

Clarify navigation, collections, filtering needs and catalogue structure.

02

Product pages miss buying questions

Improve information hierarchy, variants, imagery requirements, delivery cues and trust information.

03

The platform is getting in the way

Assess whether better configuration is enough or a planned move to Shopify is justified.

04

Promotions are hard to manage

Create more usable collections, merchandising rules and repeatable trading patterns.

05

The store is difficult to run

Simplify the operating model and remove unnecessary complexity where possible.

06

The next investment is unclear

Start with a Store Review to identify priorities before committing to larger work.

A clear way of working

Understand the store first. Scope the right work. Then deliver it safely.

  1. 01

    Understand the business

Start with what you sell, how the store works today and what is creating difficulty or opportunity.

  2. 02

    Define the right scope

Agree what is included, excluded, required and how completion will be checked.

  3. 03

    Build, move or improve

Complete the agreed work in a safe theme or development environment, with review and launch controls.

  4. 04

    Hand over clearly

Confirm what changed, what remains and how the business can manage the store after handover.

Where the requirement falls outside the available capability, that is identified before it becomes a delivery problem.

Not sure what the store needs?

Start with a focused Store Review.

If the next step is unclear, a recorded Store Review provides an experienced second opinion across the homepage, navigation, collections, merchandising, product pages and the path to checkout. You receive practical priorities that can guide your own team, another specialist or a separately scoped piece of work.

  • Recorded walkthrough
  • Prioritised action list
  • Plain-English recommendations
  • One consolidated follow-up response

This is an expert heuristic review, not a statistically validated CRO programme, technical code audit or guarantee of higher sales.

Questions about working together

What kind of businesses do you work with?

The focus is Irish businesses selling physical products online: retailers, makers, wholesalers and product-led businesses starting, moving or improving a store.

Do you only work with Shopify?

Shopify is the main platform offered for new-store and migration work. Stores on Wix, Squarespace or WooCommerce can also be assessed when deciding what to improve or whether to move.

Can you build custom Shopify features?

Custom code, Liquid development and app development are not offered as in-house capabilities. Specialist development must be identified and separately scoped rather than implied.

Can you improve a store without rebuilding it?

Often, yes. Navigation, collections, product presentation, merchandising and configuration may be improved without replacing the entire store. The right scope depends on the platform and problem.

What is a Store Review?

A focused recorded assessment of the customer journey and store structure, followed by a prioritised action list. It is useful when the right next investment is unclear.

Do you guarantee sales or rankings?

No. The work can improve foundations and remove avoidable problems, but results also depend on the product, offer, pricing, traffic, competition, operations and execution.

How much does a project cost and how long does it take?

That depends on the platform, catalogue, content, integrations and work required. Scope, responsibilities, price and timing are agreed in writing before implementation begins.
